families blossoming

As you are reading this, you are most likely the
special parents of some pretty special children…

You understand all too well the following scenarios:

Your waters break & you deliver your baby several weeks early.

Reaction: Shock!

Your baby is born full-term but with major complications & requires medical treatment immediately.

Reaction: Disbelief!

Your sick baby grows tired of fighting & dies.

Reaction: Anger!

Your child has a disability that will affect his overall development.

Reaction: Frightened & Overwhelmed

You understand that the above scenarios and reactions are not simply possible things that could happen, but rather real things that do/did happen – maybe even to you.

Your child has endured and survived things in their short life that few people would experience in their whole lifetimes.

Fast-forward to now:
You’ve left the NICU months, maybe even years ago,
but you still experience such things as

  • Guilt
  • Loss of your Identity
  • Feeling Overwhelmed & Confused
  • Difficulties in Marital/Partner Relationships
  • Difficulties in relationship with other children (if there are any)
  • Anger, Feeling your family & friends just don’t understand
  • Anxiety over whether your child will develop normally
  • Feeling Powerless, to name a few.

You want to move forward & know you need to, but you feel stuck.

Your experience of being a parent of a child born premature, a child who is medically vulnerable and/or a child who has special needs has not only shaped you – but it some ways it has trapped you.

I can and want to help you move forward!

Being the mother of an amazing ex-24 weeker  who is legally blind with moderate developmental delays, I know and understand many of your thoughts and feelings, which is why I created Families Blossoming LLC – coaching specifically geared towards mothers & fathers of  children born premature, parents of children who are sick/medically vulnerable and parents of children with special needs.

I work with you any time after you’ve left the NICU/hospital or the doctor’s office after receiving a diagnosis but most importantly, I work with you when you feel ready. My desire is to help you move you forward from where you are now to where you want to be in your role both as an individual and as a parent.

Ultimately, I’m here to support you in reaching your point of clarity, direction and optimism for your life, however this manifests itself.
