Being Present is a Gift
Being Present is what you experience when you are completely focused on what’s happening in this very moment. Your feelings are calm. Your mind is clear.
Being Present requires you to:
Do you like what you see?
Do you even know who you are?
Note: Baggage can be things, people, situations, habits, etc.
In a nutshell, presence means:
- Living in the moment
- Being intentional
- Being fully aware
- Showing Up
I know that this may seem hard for you to do. Maybe you feel like you can’t be present for yourself because you have to be present for your children, your family, your team or your organization.
You can’t be present for them if you’re not present for yourself.
For this month, try out your gift of being present and don’t let anything meaningful, or dare I say, fun, pass you by. Jot down what it feels like for you and notice what you learn about yourself, and others, when you’re fully and intentionally present.
